Case studies: delivered systems, written for a reader

This namespace holds sanitised write-ups of systems AEI Corporation has actually delivered — what the machine or network had to do, what was built, which standards and protocol stacks it used, and what went wrong on the way. They are written from the raw delivery records, not instead of them: the raw records stay internal and are never published.

Client names are never used. A case study describes the engineering — the topology, the cycle budget, the standard and edition, the failure mode and its fix — and identifies the customer only by industry and machine type.

Available

None published yet. The namespace and its sourcing rule are settled; the individual write-ups are not yet written. First candidates, both derived from records already held:

  • Secure OPC UA PubSub over TSN demonstrator — S2OPC with security on a TSN-scheduled network, shown at a trade fair.
  • OPC UA to MQTT cloud connector — bridging a plant-floor OPC UA server to an IoT cloud agent, including the certificate-signing and MQTT keep-alive problems solved along the way.
